In 1950, the town was much greener and had several unoccupied areas. There were only a few beach huts situated between the sand dunes and the woodland located on the northwest and northeast corner of the beach respectively. There was a road besides the woodland which led to beach huts.
In 1970, there were enormous changes in which noticeable one was the trees in the woodland cleared and built caravan park there. Besides, some of the sand dunes were flattened to renovate beach huts into villas. Also, the track road was widened.
By 1990, further improvement occurred. The caravan park was replaced by car park. Additionally, villas were modernized to a three-storeyed hotel with an attached pool. A surf school was introduced on the seashore whereas sand dunes were converted into landscaped gardens.
