Unlike the past, people are interested in working in the professions have an aptitude for rather than a secured one. I think that individuals should focus on their desired field of interest over the assurance of the job.
On the one hand, certain people point out that gratification from work is more relevant than getting secured earnings for a lifetime. To elaborate, although the employers are paid adequately, hatred towards their profession makes them stressed and even leads to health issues, whereas if they do a job they like, they will tend to enjoy the work tasks. For example, working in the media sector is not at all secure, however, many are passionate to work there as it suits their talents and makes them comfortable. Therefore, job pleasure is much more crucial than getting fixed salary from a secured job.
On the other hand, certain people suggest that job security is more significant as compared to one’s passion. To explain, it is a fact that having a permanent job is extra reliable and there will be a specific income every year. For example, during the Covid pandemic, excluding the government officials, many have lost their job as everything was shut down which affected their lives adversely. Thus, it is said that job assurance is the vital factor, not personal satisfaction.
After analyzing both sides, in my opinion, I believe that people should work according to their preferences instead of looking at its security. It is because working in the desired field not only makes the person happy but also helps them to earn more as per their performance.
To sum up, satisfaction is the prime factor over security when choosing a job to do as it provides better psychological health which improves their career and personal lives.
